Hardys 2002 Stamp of Australia Shiraz (South Eastern Australia)

Best Buy

Smells nice, like a fireplace in winter—smoldering, smoky, with maybe some pinecones thrown in. The palate, though, has sour black and red fruit, wtih a lactic or creamy note that's a little offputting. An unbeatable price, but the Stamp Shiraz isn't quite as good as the Chardonnay.
