Harmonique 2006 Oppenlander Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

Despite ripe raspberry and cherry flavors, this Pinot is a bit inert. The fruit is turning toward dried currants and mushrooms, indicating its age. It's a wine that will find some fans in the years to come, and also opponents, as it continues to dry and turn brittle. Gains the extra point for intellectual interest.
