90pointsHartenberg 2016 Chardonnay (Stellenbosch)

Faint notes of lemon peel, bitter melon rind and a touch of straw dance lightly on the nose of this wine. The palate is similarly light and bright, with soft wood spice and toasted-apple flavors, as well as a good dose of orange oil. There's a hint of green apple and plum flavor as well, lending lift and verve to the palate and medium-length finish. Lauren Buzzeo
