Hearst Ranch 2015 The Point Red (Paso Robles)

Blackberry aromas are layered with savory touches of pepper, salt, leather and turned earth on the complex and well-integrated nose of this Bordeaux blend, named for the Hearst family's rocky point off of San Simeon beach. Dark-red and black plums are lifted by marjoram and Asian spice on the medium-bodied palate. Matt Kettmann
