Heathfield Ridge 1997 Patrick Cabernet Sauvignon (Coonawarra)

The nose is oaky and a bit weedy—we'll call it minty to be nice. Raspberry and red currant comprise the flavors. While it's clean, it is not terribly impressive. The quick take is that it's zippy and nice. But further evaluation reveals some veggie notes. Michael Schachner
