Hecht & Bannier 2007 Rosé Syrah (Vin de Pays des Côtes de Thau)

Not the finest year for this Syrah rosé, as the overly ripe flavors of mashed banana, cotton candy, melted strawberry-banana icepop and red Jolly Rancher seem to abound both on the nose and in the mouth. A thinner texture and absence of strong acidity leaves the sweeter components lingering too long on the palate. Lauren Buzzeo
