88pointsHelix by Reininger 2016 Bacchus Vineyard Merlot (Columbia Valley (WA))

Bacchus is one of the state's oldest vineyards, located in the White Bluffs region. The aromas bring notes of coffee and raspberry, with plentiful spice accents. The palate comes off as a bit green, dipping in the middle, with a lot of tannic structure. Coffee notes persist on the finish. Sean P. Sullivan
