Henri Bourgeois 2015 Le Cotelin (Sancerre)

Cellar Selection

One of a series of single-parcel wines, this comes from the village of Maimbray. Aged in old wooden barrels, it has spice as well as a rich, smooth texture. It is crisp at the moment, full of herbal Sauvignon flavors. But with the wood aging, these will soften to give a generous wine with a lightly toasty character. Drink from 2019. Roger Voss
