Hermann J. Wiemer 2009 Late Harvest Riesling (Finger Lakes)

Jasmine blossom perfume trails from start to finish on this beautifully concentrated Late Harvest Riesling. Semisweet with a rich, honeyed palate, it's balanced by whiffs of slate, smoke and petrol that linger through a lime and black tea finish. Lovely to drink now, but could develop further with a few years in the cellar. Anna Lee C. Iijima
