Heron Hill 2002 Reserve Riesling (Finger Lakes)

A dry, Alsatian-style Riesling with aromas of petrol, meat and a hint of fruit. Despite its dryness the wine comes across as oily, with spicy, minerally flavors, including petrol. Not for fruit seekers, but should impress those looking for mineral-laden wines.
