Hess 2007 Small Block Series Viognier (Mount Veeder)

It's easy to get a lot of flavor from Viognier grapes, but it's hard to make a wine that's balanced and elegant. Hess has succeeded with this low-production wine. It's crisp and creamy and dry, with lush flavors of tropical fruits, apricots, wildflowers, spices and toffee from French oak.
