Hess Collection 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mount Veeder)

Cellar Selection

The fruity concentration on this Cabernet is amazing. It just explodes in blackberries, blueberries and cassis liqueur. Meanwhile, 80% new French oak, in which the wine aged for nearly two years, brings strong notes of caramel and vanilla. The tannins are ripe and strong. All indications point to the cellar. Drink it starting in 2018.
