This wine starts a little synthetic, with soapy, potpourri spice amidst raspberry, plum, dried herb and licorice notes. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and slightly heavy-handed oak, overlaying the berry fruit. It all comes to a close rather abruptly. Christina Pickard
