Hidalgo 2016 Generación Ocho (Ribera del Duero)

Cellar Selection

The first Hidalgo wine from Ribera del Duero that we've come across is concentrated, tannic, grinding and packed with fruit. Aromas of blackberry, maple and cassis are heady, while the palate on this young Tinto Fino is raw and rough. Blackberry, chocolate and woody flavors settle with gusto and some sophistication; best from 2022–2035. Michael Schachner
