Highland Valley 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

Juicy and fruity aromas of blackberry jam, black plum, purple flowers and a savory hint of soy show on the nose of this bottling from a San Diego winery that sourced fruit from Paso. It hits the palate with power, showing Concord grape and dark-berry flavors. But it's quite ripe despite judicious acidity and tannins. Matt Kettmann
