Hirsch 2018 Ried Gaisberg Grüner Veltliner (Kamptal)

Smoky reduction still covers up the varietal aromas on the nose heavily. It is on the palate that the herbal and fruit aromas break through: There is fern and fresh, ripe green and yellow pear. The palate is mellow and juicy, and has an edge of pithy earthiness and a long, clean finish that presents some welcome zestiness. Anne Krebiehl MW
