Hirsch Selection 12-Year-Old Canadian Rye Whisky

Smells of solvent/pine cleanser in the very first sniffings; shows a bit more typical whisky odor in the later whiffs as scents of cedar, maple sap, and green vegetation abound. The palate entry is sweet and full-bodied; at midpalate the taste expands to include light toffee, oak resin, and unsweetened coconut. Finishes bittersweet, spirity warm, and biscuity/wafer-like. P.P.
