Hirsch Selection 20 Year Old American Whiskey

Light amber in color, with warm, heady butterscotch and cookie dough fragrances; too bad the taste doesn't mirror the scent. Instead, there's a flash of sweetness on the tongue and a nice vanilla finish, but it is all quickly overwhelmed by alcohol. Even cut with water, the spirit is just too darn hot. Kara Newman
