Holly's Hill 2009 Estate Grenache (El Dorado)

This Sierra Foothills Grenache Noir, as it's labeled, has an intense, grapey nose, its taste silky, smooth and juicy with decent length and texture, though the wine could use more layers. Estate-grown, this is an interesting producer of Rhône varieties in El Dorado, this wine blended with 8% Mourvedre and 1% Petite Sirah. Virginie Boone
