87pointsHood Crest 2018 Pinot Gris (Columbia Gorge (OR))

This is tart and racy, right up to the point of sour, with lemon and green-pineapple fruit. For the right foods (whitefish in a lemon sauce, for example, or even fresh oysters) this would be spot on. Don't look for the usual Willamette Valley style of Pinot Gris; this is from the Gorge, with less body, more acid and a mouthpuckering finish. Paul Gregutt
