There's a charred, smoky nuance to the nose of this vibrantly straw-colored, that's a bit distracting, but there's also concentrated lemony fruit that could gain more interesting honeyed notes with another year or so in the bottle. The palate is creamy in texture with intense citrus and spice notes. While typically more Chardonnay in style than Grüner, it's a serious bottling that could pair well with buttery pasta and poultry dishes. Christina Pickard
