Howard Park 2004 Chardonnay (Great Southern)

Not tropical or woody; flavors stay the pear and citrus track (there's even a hint of SB-like grassiness), while a stony smoothness seals the deal. It's an acidic, food-friendly style, but not a terribly round one—and that's fine, particularly when ceviche or salads are on the menu.
