Still in its infancy, Howard Park's blend of Cab from Mt. Barker in the cool climes of the Great Southern and the slightly warmer Margaret River region, has a generous nose of dark cherry, mocha, pencil lead, mint and oak spice. There's plush fruit and herbs on the palate but it's still very tightly wound and the oaky tannins are big and drying. Give this a few years to even begin to show its true colors. Drink 2020–2032.
