90pointsHuett 2015 The Silver Lot Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This wine seems to be holding itself back, even after some hours of breathing. There are well-woven suggestions of blackberry, fig, smoke, black tea and charred wood, supported with ample acidity. The tannins are tongue-dryingly astringent. Give this a few more years of bottle aging, and drink in the early 2020s. Paul Gregutt
