Hugh Hamilton 2005 The Scoundrel Tempranillo (McLaren Vale)

Only the third vintage of Tempranillo for Hamilton, it's rather crisp and firm, with fresh blackberry fruit framed by vanilla and tobacco. It's nicely complex, adding hints of dried spices, eucalyptus and pepper on the finish, but could use a touch more lushness to make it really sing. Multiple U.S. Importers. Joe Czerwinski
