Hugh Hamilton 2007 The Villain Cabernet Sauvignon (McLaren Vale)

There's definitely some horsey notes on the nose, but the decadent palate, with its intoxicating blend of raspberry, loganberry and cranberry, all couched in a sophisticated vanilla and coffee framework, takes the day. Medium-to-long finish shows grippy tannins. Drink now or cellar several years.
