Humanitas 2001 Chardonnay (Edna Valley)

This is the “expensive” one on my list, but all net proceeds are donated to charity. In Latin, “humanitas” means “philanthropy,” and winery founder Judd Wallenbrock has made giving back through fine wine his mission. A fragrant, melony front gives way to vanilla and spice overtones. It fans out to reveal hints of orange, lychee, grapefruit and lemon flavors, and finishes with moderate length.
