This blend of 56% Grenache, 28% Syrah and 16% Mourvèdre shows solid potential for this region of San Diego. It's light in color with very fresh and inviting aromas of red berry, red flowers and wet slate. The palate is loaded with chaparral spices such as sage and thyme, which give depth to the tangy black raspberry fruit flavors. Matt Kettmann
