Hyland 2019 Old Vine Single Vineyard Riesling (McMinnville)

Editors' Choice

There's no telling how much longer these old vines, planted in the early 1970s, will last. This is a landmark wine for Oregon, one of a vanishing breed. It's finished dry and tart, with lip-licking lemon, grapefruit and green apple crunch and bite. Let it breathe and flavors of pear and lemongrass develop, with a lasting scent of honeysuckle. Paul Gregutt
