The Mittelburgenland is Austria's red wine land. In the tiny village of Horitschon, the Iby family makes Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and a barrel-aged Pinot Noir. This Zweigelt is all about fruit, driving the wine with soft tannins, cranberries and spice, leaving fresh, ripe acidity to finish. It's a great barbecue wine, and terrific with Mexican food.
