This blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cab Franc is a fine example of the super Tuscan concept. It's rich, deep and grapey, a sensationally ripe wine, loaded with tobacco, bacon and cassis. It's lush, with only modestly full tannins, so it won't require years in the cellar before it can be drunk. The finish is smooth and delightfully layered, with ample force and clarity.
