Innocent Bystander 2020 Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

An intensely fruity but crowd-pleasing nose of red and black fruit backed by cedar, black pepper and violets opens. The palate sees more woodsy spice notes amidst the fruit. There's an almost surprisingly powerful spine of tannins and a lick of oak at the finish. An easy one for weeknight suppers. Christina Pickard
