Iris Vineyards 2016 Chalice Vineyard Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This young wine needs more bottle age, but all the right components are in place. It still tastes like a barrel sample, with plenty of toasty aromas and flavors ahead of juicy raspberry fruit. There's a seam of chocolate also, but more time will help to meld everything. Hold until 2020. Paul Gregutt
