Intense and concentrated blackberry flavors rise above thick tannins in this full-bodied wine. Aromas suggest boysenberry, smoke and clove, while the flavors taste more like blackberry jam. Although the texture is dense and tannic, it stays velvety rather than drying. This will be great now with ribs or roast venison, but will easily age through 2020.
