Very oaky, with scads of toast, caramel and smoky vanilla, and the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit stars with its cassis flavors. This is a dark, rich wine, young in tannins, bone dry, and easily on a par with the wonderful '01. This bottling is raising the Cabernet bar in Paso Robles.
