The residual sugar is 2.3 grams, which makes this Riesling a little sweet. But it is very acidic and crisp, which gives it that fascinating sweet-tart tension you get in a good German Riesling. At the same time, the wine is enormously flavorful in citrus, honeysuckle, peach, nectarine, apricot and vanilla flavors. The Arroyo Seco AVA gets credit for that magical combo of ripeness and acidity. Entirely stainless fermented and aged, this Riesling has a low alcohol of only 12.1 percent.
