Jacob's Creek 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir (Adelaide Hills)

For a so-called Reserve wine, this is a straightforward bottling that lacks much of the vibrancy and elegance of other cool climate Aussie Pinots. The nose is ripe with confected cherry and raspberry fruit and some vanilla and baking spice notes. The mouthfeel is thin, with angular acidity and astringent tannins that give a bitterness to the fruit. Christina Pickard
