A rustic Rhône-style red that's bigger and more untamed than many in its class. Huge brambly fruit and lots of sweet wood. Deep, spicy and earthy, like an exuberant Southern Rhône wine. Very tight, it may pull together with aging. Now it's a little awkward and the finish is like a country-style kick in the pants. Michael Schachner
