There's a compellingly earthy minerality that grabs hold right away on the nose of this bottling, with loam and wet gravel running into marjoram, tea leaf and boysenberry sorbet aromas. The sip shows dark and snappy fruits, with acid washing into the midpalate and then loads of thyme and bay leaf leading into the finish. Matt Kettmann
