This is an unsually firm and tannic wine for the varietal, and it will be great to pair with a juicy steak or fresh-baked lasagna. It smells like cedar and cinnamon, tastes fresh but not overly fruity, and has an appetizing texture. Jim Gordon

I would rate it excellent. It is not as plush and fruity as many old vine Zins. It is lighter, more delicate than most Zins (e.g. Ravenwood or Seghesio). I love a big, bold Zin, but this is a refreshing change. DELIGHTFUL! I would give it a 91/92 and I will buy more. Joe in Lake Orion, MI.
