This wine is made entirely from Macabeo, one of the three grapes that comprise cava. The wine is heavy and fairly dull in the nose; there isn't much fruit and only a distant scent of nut oil. The flavors are sharp and lemony, and the finish is equally tangy. Cheerful is not this wine's middle name.
