Jardin 1999 Chameleon White (Stellenbosch)

The attractive opening notes of orange blossom and mild spice are quickly overwhelmed by an off-putting asparagus and sulfur note that just doesn't yield. Light on the palate, the wine finishes lean with a pronounced vegetal element. This producer has impressed us with other offerings, but this one misses the mark.
