This is a lightly ripened wine, but balanced and styled along the lines of a modest Rioja. Subtle dried-cherry fruit, a whiff of leather and earth, a streak of vanilla and a dusting of coffee grounds are all in play. It's all a bit muted, but rewards your attention with extra detail.
