Jean Becker 2016 Schoenenbourg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Juicy, mellow apple, dried apple skin and dried lemon rind make for a rich and mellow nose on this vivid wine. The palate redoubles on creamy, zesty mellowness reminiscent of tart, baked apple flesh. All is made vibrant with lemon acidity and the finish is rounded but bone dry. The wine is intense and rich, but svelte. Anne Krebiehl MW
