Jean Biecher & Fils 2017 Schlossberg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Before the zesty lime reaches the nose, there is an almost decadent streak of apricot in demerara sugar. On the palate, however, it is the zing of citrus that asserts itself with exquisite speed and ease. It colonizes mouth and mind with its swirls of ripe bright pure lemon. It makes you smack your lips with its concentration, freshness and zip. There is lots of verve here. The finish is dry and driven, full of energy. Drink now through 2038. Anne Krebiehl MW
