Jean Biecher & Fils 2018 Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Russet-pear peel, juicy Mirabelle and a hint of wet earth are all discernible but shy on the nose of this wine. On the palate, the fruit comes across with a fresher aspect that suggests green pear and lemon zestiness, despite the warm year. The body is concentrated, dry and linear, driven by freshness. Drink now–2032. Anne Krebiehl MW
