Jean Biecher & Fils 2018 Sommerberg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Editors' Choice

A tropical overtone of candied pineapple on the nose of this wine promises opulence and richness, while a tinge of bergamot intensifies the exotic impression. The concentrated palate brims with pineapple and canned peach but remains pristine, dry and even racy despite all this richness that reflects the heat of the 2018 summer. This wine is rich, dry and fresh in equal measure. Drink now–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
