Jip Jip Rocks 2017 Shiraz-Cabernet (Padthaway)

This is a dense, ripe wine that offers notes of dark berry fruit, chocolate, dried mint, a charred veg nuance and cola-like oak, along with some earthy reduction. Oak on the palate is chewy and the alcohol is elevated, but there's also a lovely savory character to the textured tannins. This is one for those who prefer their reds on the extroverted side.
