This 100% varietal Merlot is a blend of three top Red Mountain vineyards: Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval and old vine Kiona. It really demonstrates the power of these Red Mountain sites; it's a well-made, muscular wine that extends itself through the midpalate into a textural and complex finish. Layers of graphite and smoke, black olive and coffee are wrapped in dark berry fruit.
