Joan D'Anguera 2002 la Planella Red (Montsant)

Saturated and dense, but youthful as well as a few shades shy of refined. There's herbal essence to the flavor profile, but there's also bold and tasty cassis and black plum. The finish is chewy and a bit spicy, and overall you'd have to label it rich and full. Michael Schachner
